 ok so im not sure if this is a feature or not, today i recieved my 16gb iphone and unlocked it with ziphone 2.1 within minutes!

this afternoon i noticed that i cannot install any of the apps via the app.installer and if i delete the ziphone blog link on the homescreen if i reboot the phone it will not startup??? is this normal?

its not that i dont appriciate everything the guy has done(an i have donated
!) but i read his blog on my macs probably not my iphone.

has anyone else experienced this? is it a bug within 2.1?

Cheers

Andy..

For your installer problem, after you click install, press Clear Queue or whatever that option is that pops up. Then try again. As for the blog icon issue, this was fixed so go graph the newest version, restore the phone and repeat the process.

ahh excellent thanks for the quick response, so it is a known issue???so if i use 2.4 this will resolve it?

i used 2.1 as im reading that 2.4 downgrades the baseband (although some say otherwise)and im not 100% sure if that is a good thing?

im unsure what to do?

any advise?

thanks again

...and I'm still nervous about cracking my week 39 1.1.3 OTB. ZiPhone expressly states not using a phone that is not on 4.9 bootloader.

I had PERFECT results from ZiPhone 2.3

Day One iPhone Firmware - Complete Restore to 1.1.3 - OS Leopard

FIXED MY ISSUE!!

stuck it in recovery mode, flashed back to 1.1.3 via itunes and then ran ziphone 2.2!

everything working well ;) (except maps)

should we downgrade the baseband, or have we got to foe the ziphone 2.3 to work? If we have can we put it back up to 4.6 after we jailbreak and unlock

To fix the maps, install navicon, run once and then you can delete it if you want.

thanks just tried that, althoughit doesnt seem to find me exactly..

:) thanks for your help
