I remember reading replies about how the ipad will most likely lack multi-tasking juice due to its 3gs innards. But todays announcement just made a lot of peopel feel stupid.

I remember reading a reply. This one guy believed with all his heart that the ipad will be lacking a lot of features only because of the 3gs parts.

Todays announcement was all about the 3gs basically., Older hardware will not get the same treatment. I am stoked to see all this features in my ipad.

I wonder what teh haters are going to say now!

I wish that apple would have touched some kind of api or addon so that our apple devices seamlessly connect with mobileme to pull content.

That was not the case.

Am I the only one waiting for my ipad to connect to my mobile gallery and display my photos in my photo app similar to how android and picasa handles it?

I have a nexus one and I wish my ipad had the same share/connect features android and picasa have :(

This seems like two different threads that somehow got combined into a single post.

I never thought multitasking was a hardware limitation, so I'm probably the wrong person to ask for a reaction to learning it's not a hardware limitation. I will, however, point out that this OS isn't coming to the iPad until "fall" per Jobs.

Hopefully, there will be an interim release for the iPad only to give it this feature.

i also had to read it twice ;)

Well

I'm not a hater. I'm enjoying my iPad. I have a 3GS which I will be getting rid of based on today's announcement.

Number one most annoying thing they kept out was a new notification system. The current popups that pause whatever you're doing and dismiss past notifications is ridiculous.

I saw nothing of particular interest in today's announcement outside of multitasking, which MAY be interesting but I need to see a video of it. The whole announcement certainly left me with a big case of meh.

Apple should copy Android's notification system, which is awesome. But call it iNotify and put an Apple logo in it and there will be 30 threads here about Apple's genius. This suggestion may not fit this thread, but I don't feel too guilty since I'm not positive what this thread is about
