Yep.

I installed the update that was released today/yesterday and everything went fine, except for the screen that is totally black, i still can use remote desktop to the computer to use it but yeah, the screen is black.

Anyone else with this problem?

I haven't heard of this happening, but it could be a horrible coincidence with the 2008 MBP nvidia recall. Mine did this about a month ago and Apple replaced the logic board under recall even though I'm out of Apple Care.

Best of luck!

Disconnect any external displays etc, leave power cable in. Put laptop to sleep by shutting lid. Unplug power adaptor, open from sleep by opening lid, put power cable back in . . . press F2 (brightness) . . . screen should come back.

Happened to mine.
