I rather disagree with this unless I'm missing something, everyone can use Signal and Whatsapp, they just chose not to. iMessage is the one thing held back and I still think if apple allowed that on android it would quickly take over.

The image is out of context so I might be missing part of the story, but Signal most certainly is not supported by my mother's feature phone. SMS is.

That depends on the platform the said feature phone is built on. Some do and some don’t.
