Tokyo Experience with DoCoMo Xi / LTE ?

Does anyone here have some experience with the service quality of Xi (the product name for LTE from NTT DoCoMo) in Tokyo ?

I'm planning to get the mobile WiFi router L-09C as soon its available but wonder how fast LTE in Japan in reality is.

Anyone with practical experience ?

Ok, looks no one has anything which is fine. Might be a niche market.

Finally I could get one of the new wireless router named L-09C. Slightly bigger compared to iP4 but ok for putting in the pocket.

This one can deal up to 10 mobile devises connected via Wifi n-standard and can work for 6 hours connection time with one battery ( to be verified).
Speed per marketing slide should be 37.5Mps down and 12.5Mps up

On iP4 I see right now very indifferent numbers with maximum at 6.5 Mps which would be only 1/6th of the bandwidth to be expected. Mostly its even less the 3Mps. And it's now 5:30 am; I guess most geeks running speedtest are sleeping now not completing with me in the net right now.

Would like to hear from others on similar experience ? Does the internet provider also impact the speed or is it mainly all the same service levels ?

Just an FYI, it's entirely possible that maintenance could be going on at 5:30AM, that's when adjustments, calibrations and other changes are made.

ISP can certainly have an impact on speeds. That is, if you're doing a download speed test on a far away server or though a (unknown to you) small link, you'll see bad speeds.

Make sure you're testing your speeds on a server in the local area. Try at some other locations and times to get a better overall idea of performance. They're quoting you maximum speeds, I'm sure, but they take cell service pretty seriously over there so your should see better speeds that what you've gotten.
