They said late summer in the keynote, I believe.
Their Web site has a place to sign up for updates.

no one has to give any information out, but one would think that a release date information is a good way to promote a product.
Clearly they don't need to promote it any more, they have you creating a thread about it don't they?
If you can wait for tomtom, i would.
Used this the other day and it's pretty basic and doesn't have a decent postcode search. Also lacking traffic (why waste that unlimited gprs) Ended up using google maps to find the place i was looking for in the end.
Credit where due though, the directions are good so if it had better postcode system then it'd be ideal.
