if the ipod's interface is different from the iphone's, i could see a software update that would get the two interfaces to match. that is, if the ipod is even a "touch" ipod to begin with.

Thats kinda a tricky thing. People want touch, but they also dont want to look at it as much, so i say theyll make it touch but maybe have some buttons on the outside to just skip songs, and maybe a clicker on the headphones like with the phone? Or atleast, that would make a bit more sense.
