Where the Air Force sends me
So I'm assuming that there will be some amazing vehicle dock that allows me to mount this 10inch bad boy in my truck. I can see it now, 10inch screen with . . . TomTom?

Is running the TomTom app practical on the iPad? I know the iPhone version comes with a special dock to enhance signal.

Is TomTom going to be one of the FEW apps that doesn't work?

Don't see why it wouldn't run, unless they blocked it - the 3g iPad version has A-GPS.

We await the 3rd party products!

A passenger would need to be holding the device, having it even in the dashboard is illegal in some areas.

cant think of anything more obtuse or really unnecessary than a 10inch screen distracting you when your driving...

Tomtom Works great on both iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS WITHOUT any special dock, I don't see why you would need one for the iPad other than to hold it up. worst case velcro it to your dash and off you go.

you could have some kind of divider that goes over the screen. Then you see one half with the satnav on it, and the passenger has the other screen for watching a movie or controlling music playback
