I noticed today that the TomTom USA and Canada - has a new price of $70 - it doesn't appear to be a sale price but rather a new price point for this app - which makes me wonder where the $50 USA price will go after December 28th?

Was about to buy the UK version - might hold off now just in case its a world-wide price cut! I did contact them a few weeks ago regarding the price or future cuts but got no response.

I was looking at the size of the USA app compared to the USA+Canada version of TomTom. The USA only version is 1.2G while the version adding Canada is 1.3G. I find it hard to believe that quality maps for all of Canada would only increase the size by 100Mb which makes me wonder whether the USA areas compromised due to size?

Interesting find. I would like to know as well... I've never been to Canada, but I can't imagine it having only like 10% of the roads in US.

But to the OP, TomTom did mention that this was a X'mas sale. Maybe it just wasn't posted when you first saw it.
