I have a freshly jailbroken iPhone 3G running 3.0 and tonefx won't let me send ringtones to my iphone. Anyone else having issues with it? it says The application iPHUC quit unexpectedly. I know that application is related to jailbreaking so I'm just wondering how to fix it.

Also, hijacking my own thread here haha, iRealSMSquick seems to have issues for me too (the shortcut keys don't work).

did I get a bad custom firmware? or are these just not patched for 3.0 yet?

ditto. i've been trying all morning. it doesn't even recognize that the phone is connected. i'm having a similar problem with iphonebrowser...

Yeah I had the same problems too. I finally decided just to ssh into the iphone and added the ringtones manually.

Just make sure that the ringtone files you want to place on the iphone are .caf

then just go to this path.

"private/var/mobile/media/efiko/soundeffects"

and just add your files there. Then in the ToneFX app just set your new ringtone to the newly placed file.

For more help just PM me. Hope this helps.

Thanks Sinicide! I'll try this later tonight and see what happens, since I finally got iphonebrowser to work.
