I think it is too good to be true as well. That would cannibalize sales of their higher end devices....but we shall see

I think the SE people would be ecstatic but let’s not get too excited yet. The screen would still be way too small for my tastes, I am waiting on the X+ to replace my X. If it is about the same size as the 8+ and has no bezels, I am in.

Do not think the SE2 will harm the sales of the other iPhones. If the rumors are true, the SE2 with no bezels will not be cheap.

I'm not in the market for it, but I hope so. Symmetry across their range would make this era of iPhones instantly recognisable.

The Android handset makers aren’t going to let that happen. They are already releasing cheap smartphones with screen notches. It will be more of a generic look in a year.

Its not too good to be true, we now have phones on the market with bezelless LCD screenswith notches at the top, and we have had several rumours claim Apple has shrunk the Face ID tech this year for smaller notches, in fact it’s naive to think Applehasnt or won’t develop it to as good as it can and make it smaller. They worked in Touch ID after all.
I also remember reading Apple want all devices to have Face ID.

We will see what happens, but it’s not too good to be true if it does.

Heh true.

I guess the main thing is the same, clean look across their entire range. & I guess unique in the sense they have no chin, unlike their competitors' clone attempts.

I don’t really see the point in giving the SE a bezelesss display.

For two reasons:

It will push the price up

It’s already small enough. I don’t see why it needs to be made smaller.
