Auction looks authentic and seller feedback history has only positive transactions. I must say it is quite a deal to get over $400 off, and this is a brand new factory sealed iMac.

Unfortunately I would've grabbed this beast right off the bat but I bought an older 24" 2.4Ghz iMac awhile ago on eBay, which was also brand new and factory sealed.

And I was wondering, is there any difference between the 2.4Ghz 24" iMac and the 2.8Ghz 24" iMac besides the faster processor? It looks to me like everything else hardware wise seems to the same, but I haven't checked both specs closely.

Well, it is possible the Seller gets some kind of deal for buying in bulk from apple, but the price is completely plausible.

On apple's refurb store the same iMac is going for $1549.

But to be honest the only difference between the 2.8ghz iMac and yours is the upgrade to the intel Motevina chipset which has a faster bus speed, but the current iMac still uses the older Santa Rosa processors, so the only real diference is the clock speed, and to be honest .4ghz is really meager and you would barely notice a difference in speed.
