I sync iCal with my iPhone and iPad, and they work great together. Except when I have an event that I want a reminder for, like an exam. Then my main computer, phone, and iPad all go off at the same time! Is there a way to limit this so I don't read the same alert three times on three different devices?

I turned these kind of alerts off on my computers and my iPad. Only my phone gives alerts since I'm 100% sure that my phone will always be with me no matter what else is in front of me.

So no, you can't turn it off for a specific event, but I suggest turning ALL alerts off for the Mac and the iPad. That setup has worked very well for me.

Thanks. How do I do that?
