took out my "tiny" iPhone SE(2016, 1st gen) a few days ago and used it as my temporary daily driver. (it sat in my desk drawer since last year)

I can't believe it still works so well. My right hand is now so relaxed and my other hand is being super lazy because it's basically a couch potato.(not need for it, since iPhone SE only required one hand for 99% of the things)

For comparison, my two other iPhones are the iPhone 12 Pro and Mini. The SE felt even better than the Mini.....

The only downside is that I just remembered how well the iPhone SE worked while sitting on the throne in the bathroom. :(

My son has had his SE since October 2017 when I got it brand new for him (for his birthday). He's used that phone up until Feb. 2021 when I got him the new SE 2020.

I don't know what he's doing with his first SE now, but he asked to keep it and I see it on our WiFi now and again. I have old phones too so not such a surprise I guess.

I had several 2016 SE iPhones, and I loved all of them. I eventually stepped up to the iPhone 11, because I just couldn’t read text in several apps that I use (They had been optimized for a phone with a bigger screen and left me in the dust).

I bought the 12 mini on release and also didn't feel it was as comfortable as the 5/SE. Briefly had an Android before my current 12 Pro, but I didn't enjoy the mini enough to rebuy it, so I just went for the Pro.

I think for me and my sized hands, the slight extra width and full screen ergonomics made it feel much bigger. With the SE because of the bottom bezel, I can hold the phone with the corner digging in towards the base of my palm closer to the wrist and my thumb can reach around easy. But with the mini, I have to hold it a bit higher in my hand to reach the bottom of the screen and still maneuver the phone slightly down my hand to reach towards the top.

Since still having to shuffle the mini in my hand to use, I just went back to a bigger phone when I returned to an iPhone.

I would love to find an immaculate rose gold SE as a keepsake, still is my favorite design.

About a year ago, I was given an Apple gift certificate.
So I thought it would be a good idea to take the opportunity and upgrade from my 2016 SE, so I purchased the iPhone 11.
Even hoping, in the process, to make my iPad obsolete - given the bigger screen size I was about to have access to.

A couple of months ago, I simply had to give up on the 11. Too big, too heavy, too difficult to grab it by the rounded edges...
So I put it back in its box and picked up my 2016 SE again.

Couldn't be happier.

Yeah, went from the 5S, to the 6S Plus, to the regular 8, and then to the 2016 SE. Looking forward to getting iOS 15 on it.

The Plus actually was the phone that got me to stop carrying it around because it didn't fit well in my pocket to begin with.

Just switched to a 2016 SE and works very well running iOS 15. Any tips for optimising this phone for better productivity? Any way to reduce the vertical height of the keyboard or add floating shorcuts? The camera is terrible though... can anyone recommend a good camera app for the SE?

The 2016 SE is my current phone. Just bought a 2020 SE but not able to warm up to the size yet. So frustrating and confusing. I can't use the 2016 SE forever, so I think that I have to just "move on" but man it's hard.

I still have my 2016 SE on my desk at this very moment.

Last month, I bought the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Couldn't stand the screen so I returned it. (also didn't like the heavy phone)

I'm now using the iPhone 13 Mini and happy as a claim. It's close enough in size to the iPhone SE 2016. Hope Apple never kills off the Mini in a year or two.

Still have the OG SE on iOS 12, plan to keep it till the end of time. Although it is now my dedicated iPod, and I use an iPhone 8 as my daily driver.

Contemplating on picking up an iPhone 12 Mini on discount…

I had the iphone se till I got the iphone X. I was so happy with the size of the X that i never looked back. My iphone 12 seems similar size to the 10. I played with my old se the other day and hated typing on it. It is just to small and I am a very small woman. The screen is the size of a credit card.

Hi is it normal to have battery drain during a regular phone call with screen off, as "screen on"? For 2h phone call I have 2h of screen time, so calls are a real battery drain!

I have iPhone SE on ios 15.0.2.
