Finally upgraded my old powerbook to a macbook pro now that leopard has been released:
The Intel mac is in my sig. What kind of performance difference can I expect migrating from this powerbook
15" 1.5GHz G4
2 GB RAM
ATI 9700 w/64MB
SuperDrive
it wasn't a bad little powerbook, never let me down, but figured it was getting time to jump on the intel train. Plus now I can ditch my windows PC too (only use it for certain things online as some bill paying sites still balk at my mac for some reason). I'm not ditching old faithful though, she'll live on with my parents who desperately need a reliable computer as I'm constantly at their house fixing their dell.
I was originally looking at a macbook (because thats about all the computing power i need now) but I started looking at MBP refurbs for a similar price and I was drawn to the larger screen and a REAL graphics card of the MBP.
