Totally agree...I think the Chinese OEMs will rule Android eventually. They have good products at extremely competitive pricing. No surprises here but I think this individual quarter snapshot doesn't tell the entire story. Jamezr, you captures the bigger picture in your other thread:

Looking at the graphs, the only segments with consistent growth are Huawei and Others, the two segments representing the greatest threat to both Samsung and Apple (but more so to Samsung, IMO)--the Chinese OEMS. The most significant growth opportunities are in Asia and companies like Huawei, Xiaomi, ZTE, and Lenovo have a distinct advantage.
I think this is a greater threat to Samsung because of the commonality of both companies devices--all running Android and a large portion are competing on price. We know that comparing flagship level to flagship level sales, Apple exceeds Samsung and Apple is somewhat insulated (but certainly not impervious) thanks to iOS and it's market image. Samsung may struggle to compete on the mid and lower tiers and that's already eating into their market share. And it's pretty clear that they are very vulnerable in the flagship segment--the 2015 1st quarter drop and corresponing Apple spike is evidence of this (obviously attributed to the 6/6+ release). The recent Forbes article, if true (which I personally doubt but only time will tell) is particularly troubling for Samsung considering the Galaxy S6 devices are widely considered to be the best they've ever made (by a long shot) and arguable the best smartphones ever made.
I think the next 6 months are going to be a great indication of the state of the mobile industry and where it's heading.

I also feel the Forbes article was just click bait for them. I also think Samsung's numbers will increase as more S6 sales get recorded. The phone hasn't been out long enough yet.
Then in the fall it will be interesting to see how the next iphone does. Will it continue the momentum Apple has since moving to larger screens? Or will sales flatten out? Interesting times in the mobile phone world.

Thats a good point. I know one OEM was planning to open a US store online soon. Will be interesting to see how that plays out.The Chinese will have a hard time branching out of China with products just waiting to be stomped by patent disputes. The shenanigans from inside China won't fly in a global market.
Why would you care so much about this? Buy the phone you want and use it. I think you're feeling insecure about your phone choice and need to try to justify why it's better or something...
