Torchlight on OSX improvement after graphics update?

I have Torchlight and as far as I can tell, it gets maxed at 60fps when playing in OSX. This leads to slow downs in heavy areas. I'm on a Mac Pro 2.9 quad with a GTX285, so I want to play on full. Has anyone noticed any difference after the recent graphics update? I have tried editing the settings to allow a higher fps limit, but to no avail.
