Got a few torrents to use. Figured I could have my G4 sat doing it for the week if I could. Must be able to use magnet links. Any decent ones out there?

transmission qt mm...2.32 I think should work in tiger and has magnet. I also think you have to copy and paste the magnet link from the browser into transmission.

Regretfully, 2.32 appears not to work on Tiger. I gave 1.72 a spin and had no luck with that either.

Transmission 1.54 is the last version to support Tiger.

Aha thanks. I'll try that. :)
EDIT: I can't seem to get magnet links working in 1.54 :(

Here are (now hard-to-find) 10.4-compatible PPC versions of Azureus:

Azureus 2.4.0.2
Azureus 3.0.1.6

v2.0.4.2 is definitely before adverts were injected into the programme, and 3.0.1.6 may also be pre-advert era. Azureus is a very robust client, and IMHO, far better than Transmission. It is also discontinued, as at some point, the developers started loading it with adverts, and people stopped using it. The older versions were sans-advert, but the devs tried to erase them from existence, so I keep a mirror of them.

These should also work on 10.3 (Panther), and 10.5 (Leopard); and possibly on earlier versions of OSX, and on Snow Leopard via Rosetta. The UI is very similar to µTorrent, with similar features, and setting options. While later versions became bloated, the earlier release were very usable, and they support automated blocklists, custom port mapping, and encryption.

Vuze is Azureus, renamed after the devs ruined its reputation.

I had updated to Vuze at one point, and rolled back to an older Azureus build, which is more stable, and advert-free.

I never did this, because on Leopard I use the Bittorrent client, but I see that Transmission 2.82 command line utilities are available on Tigerbrew. I wonder if this can be used with a browser based GUI through Tenfourfox.

I've downloaded many torrents 4GB+ on my PowerBook G4, which is x32, just fine.
Although I'm not on Tiger, I use Leopard and uTorrent
