I currently have a 4G iPod Video that works perfectly in my car system. I have a Jensen headunit, that when the ipod is hooked up, it charges and displays my songs on the monitor. If I purchase an ipod touch 2G, will it do these things?

Therefore, are the pins for data and charge still the same?

Thanks

As has been widely reported, Apple have chosen to change the way the new Ipods charge.

They no longer accept charging via the Firewire pins on the universal dock connector, only the usb ones.

I don't know the specifics of your head unit, so I can only suggest you contact the manufacturer directly for details..or alternatively, try a 2G Touch or Iphone 3G (which I believe charges the same way) in your car.
