Since the iPad and Touch are two completely different products, why don't they make a Touch with a larger screen?

They do. They call it the "iPad". The size of the device makes it a completely different product with a different purpose and different target audience.

I have kept mine. I prefer to use the touch for mobile music when on the go. Plus, I still use the touch as my primary PDA/Pim machine, some web browsing (when my wife is using the pad) and some games.

I've kept my 1st gen touch. However, it has been relegated to pretty much just a music player now. On the plus side though, since I no longer charge my Touch battery every day, I'm expecting the life of it to be extended (or at least the life of the battery) for perhaps an extra year or two.

my touch is a 1st gen and although it has provided excellent service and i use it every day it is a tad slow.

i have always thought a a 'larger touch' would do the job so a week on friday it will/should arrive! Getting very excited!!!

music is on the nano and shuffle so i think the touch will go on ebay.

We also have a 1st gen touch in the household and it really is just a different device. Taking music with in the car? Touch. Going on a trip and want something to pass the time or even do light work on? iPad.

I personally have never watched a movie on the Touch. I plan to watch several on the iPad over memorial day as I head down to Texas.

I was gonna sell my touch, and get the bigger 160gb classic. But since thats pointless s little bit, Im gonna use the touch for the car.

My wife has a 2nd gen iPod Touch and she keeps using it, since it is loaded with her popular games. She can play them all on iPad, but not all of them look very good when scaled up.

Same here. My wife prefers her iPod Touch for everything but watching Netflix and ABC.

I'm using both, but have split my daily apps between the 2 devices.

I rarely use email on the touch, but use Pocket Informant daily. Gas & Trip Cubby will stay on the Touch.

I do use it less, but it holds all my music and easier to carry some places.

My daughter is using hers wayyyyy less though, and I think it needs to get assigned to her sisters.... Who have misplaced their 32gb touch and won't be getting the 8 until it is found. Not a happy mommy at the moment

But they fill different needs for me so i'm keeping both!

Ditto.

Since I use my iPod touch as an iPod, and since iPods are pretty great for putting in a pocket....
