Yes. Settings, Touch ID. I would go ahead and turn off all four toggles, eliminating Touch ID.$400….OUCH! Definitely not worth that. Only issue is she cannot verify purchases with the iPad. Do I turn the verify purchase with Touch ID option off in settings?
Yeah….This being the part to get broken wasn’t even a thought in my mind.Whenever it comes to Apple electronics, especially when children are involved always get Apple Care.
It can’t even be repaired by Apple, they just replace it with a new one.You can at least get the power button replaced. The part is only $20 and a third party shop can do it.
However, Touch ID feature needs an Apple official repair which is $400. Obviously not worth it.
