Hello, I have a Iphone 12 Mini. The screen is very frequently unresponsive to touches, or interprets touches wrongly. For example typing on the keyboard and I try tapping letter H but it thinks I'm tapping Z, etc.
And it sometimes thinks I'm touching it when I'm not, so it taps buttons when I dont want it to.

I normally wipe the screen hard on my clothes and then it goes back to normal for a while.

This happens multiple times a day. Its really annoying. I clean my phone screen regularly with screen wipes. Is it caused by oily fingers? Or is something wrong with it?

My iphone SE (which i just use as an mp3 player) does not do this ever.

Do you have sweaty hands? I know moisture can screw up the accuracy.
I guess they are a little bit. My hands get oily at work (i'm a mechanic) as well.
I never had this problem on any phone before so I am not sure why this 12 is particularly bad. And it only started happening maybe 6 months ago, I have had the phone 18 months and for half the time I've had it, it's been fine.
