Hi, since updating to iOS 11 I have a horrible issue with my touch screen becoming uncontrollable all of a sudden. It would just become unresponsive and completely distorting the simple gestures I use.

Has anyone stumbled into this issue as well and found a (hopefully permanent) solution?

Thank you.

Which iPhone do you have?

I have an iPhone 6 and have been having issues with the touchscreen since updating early November. I keep hoping subsequent updates will rectify the issue, but no luck so far. Mostly I have “dead” spots on the touchscreen, sometimes it goes crazy and adds lots of extra letters I didn’t type. Every once in awhile it actually works normally, but never for long. I’ve updated, I’ve restored multiple times, I’ve even taken it into the Apple store. Diagnostics showed that there was nothing wrong with it. They restored it once again, and if course it worked while I was in the store but shortly after leaving it stopped again. I was told the next step would be for me to pay to have the touchscreen replaced. However, I don’t see how that will help when it’s a software issue. I am very frustrated, as these issues seem to be related to the updates.
