Apple patent things that don't become real ALL THE TIME...but its still nice to see that it comes to their minds :)
 
That looks pretty cool. laying it flat on a desk then using a touch 'keyboard' and such would be really sweet! Add a stand so it would sit kinda like a picture and a BT keyboard and mouse for home use.
 
Its got to be a type of iPod or iPhone because it has no USB inputs or firewire so it can't really be a tablet.
 
Those pictures look familiar...wasn't there already a story on this shortly after the patent was Issued in May 2005?

It goes back even further than that...this patent first showed up here (courtesy of The Register) in August 2004 when the application was made public. But you're right, it was also featured here in May 2005 when the patent was issued.
 
Doesn't Apple already have the patent for tablet PC's? Even before this article came out?

Also, click the link and it clearly shows that this thing is NOT iPhone or iPod size (Fig 9). Maybe it has that multitouch feature stuff. Now that would be cool!
