Hey everyone, just wanted to see if anyone has been having this particular issue. I have a 10.5 Pro, I just updated to 13.4.1 and I have been having touch screen issues, using the on screen keyboard and random sights with scrolling up or down. 95% of the time I’m using the Smart Keyboard, but there are times, (like right now) where I’m using the on screen keyboard, it’s not recognizing a lot of the letters I type. Also a lot of sites have a lot of lag and freezing when Im trying to scroll up or down. Let me know what you guys are experiencing, I really don’t want to replace my iPad yet........lol.
Thanks everyone!

The last couple of releases have been very buggy.

Lots of false orientation issues, a thin band across the screen when I press the space bar on the Smart Keyboard to scroll up on Safari (goes after 1 second), plus other laggy / buggy behaviour. I also get a capital letter pretty much every time I start typing after repositioning the cursor. It used to know if I placed the cursor mid-sentance, but not any more.

I’m putting up with it for now, assuming it will be fixed in a patch quite soon. To be honest I don’t have much choice really.

It’s a very poor quality release, I’m such a Apple fan-boy but it’s harder and harder to remain so with rubbish like this.

I’ve noticed this last update is worse then what it was before. I’m typing this now on my on screen keyboard, and it’s taking forever waiting and fixing everything I type. It’s more of a nuisance then anything.

On my iPad Air 3, it started several weeks, or perhaps up to a couple months ago, not sure which OS version I was on when it started. It’s similar to OP - I often get no response when scrolling up or down on a website on the first 1 or two tries. Sometimes touching an icon on the home screen also has the same problem, i.e., nothing happens as if it’s frozen. Then I touch somewhere else on the screen and it’s recognized just fine.

As far as I’m concerned, this is a major issue...is this widespread? It seems random and goes for a while without problems, then crops up again. It’s wildly inconsistent and is not associated with any particular part of the screen.

After researching, I noticed some people have described static electricity buildup inside third party iPad cases causing problems with the touchscreen. I removed the plastic case that protects the back of my iPad Air 3, and the situation is much better (at least so far).
