Resolved Touch screen stopped working after iOS update

So my dad updated his iOS this morning on his iPhone 15 Plus, and the touch screen is no longer responsive. I've tried hard resetting (pressing volume up, then down, then holding the side button until the phone turns off and back on) but it's still not working. Just wanting to see if this has happened to anyone else, and if anyone has any ideas on a fix.

I think possibly a different issue. His wasn't just glitchy, it was completely unresponsive. However, I plugged it in and did a full restore to the software, and it's working fine now. Probably just an issue with the upgrade.
