Is TouchID in the top button of the new iPad Pros?

I thought for sure the iPad Pros would have it since the Air has it. Then the Pro would also have FaceID.

Decisions decisions... I was planning on replacing my 2017 10.5” iPad Pro with the 2021 11” iPad Pro.
Purpose: Summer and winter travel and airplane use
I’ll be wearing a mask much of the time when unlocking the iPad.
I’d much rather use a button finger unlock sensor than be forced to tap my unlock password on the keypad with others around.

Camera capabilities are not at all important. Video quality / test quality is.
Given that, it seems like the main capability I’m losing by going with an iPad Air instead of 11” iPad Pro 2021 is Promotion display. (Does Promotion = the “Liquid“ in Liquid Retina on the 11”?)

Maybe the 11” iPad Pro has TouchID in the top button, but they didn’t talk about it?

Apple should allow people to unlock the iPad with the watch.

Bingo! Now that you say it, it's obvious! ?

I can unlock my MacBook Pro with my watch, why not my iPad !?!
That would negate the entire FaceID vs TouchID consideration.

Dang it!
