Toy Chewable iPhone for my baby Daughter??

My six month old baby daughter has become obsessed with chewing on my iPhone 3Gs, but for obvious reasons I typically find myself pulling it away from her. This used to be really cute in the beginning, but now that she is getting older, she is starting to get pissed at me that I keep taking the thing away.

Anyone know of a chewable toy iPhone that I can give to her when I pull away my real iPhone?

Take it from me - she won't fall for it. We've tried to get my daughter all kinds of remote control toys and toy phones and she still goes for the real things...

To top it off you could even give her a broken iPhone and she would not be happy because she wants your phone. The one you use. It is not what it looks like but more it is yours.
 
ytu to find her something else she likes!

she will still want to reach for the Iphone when she gets a chance trust me. take her too the toy store find her something to chew on there see what else she likes. the less it looks like a Iphone the better maybe they have a Blackberry one. :p you never want a child or a animal to have a chew toy similar to what you don't want them to chew on. give a dog a shoe chew toy of a shoe should be no shock when they chew your good shoes. and don't think for a minute I am comparing the two child and dog just that in this case the goal is the same. I have a 13 year old daughter and two labs. ;)
 
What a great activity to reinforce in her mind. Take the iPhone away and give her something proper to chew on. So what if whines and cries a bit? She's a baby and should not be learning that chewing on electronics is the right thing to do.

out of site out of mind! the younger she learns somethings are not hers the better. but you seem bent on pleasing her on this. Yeah another screaming child at the store! please read some of the post above it's best to be the parent and the mentor other wise the child will be in control as she is now! ;)

I am not helping him spoil his child. But when they are teething why not chew, get the real iPhone out of her site and reach and let her chew on a fake. Believe me after awhile she will go on to something else, because he won't be taking it out of her hand.

the question will be asked what is wrong with kids today! ;) trust me I work in a high School with 1700 kids, most of them are spoiled! oh well enough on this subject!

Rule #1: Try your hardest to avoid giving parenting advice to complete a stranger who has asked a perfectly legitimate question.

Keep your advice to yourself and just answer the question if you can. If you can't, then zip it!

What a blatantly insulting post. What is it about teenage geek iPhone users on this site that makes them think they can tell other people what to do? I'm embarrassed to be a member of this site alongside people like you...

To the OP: I'm not sure the best way to get your daughter to stop chewing on your phone, but now that I know this is something babies will like (I liked the idea someone had of getting a non-working iPhone to distract her), I will make sure to keep my phone away from my son when he is old enough to grab onto things! He's only 6 weeks old right now though, so there's no danger yet...
 
seriously guys......it is a 6 month old kid.......shes gonna chew on stuff no matter what.......better a toy than a 400 dollar :apple:
 
Is this a legitimate question or a joke?

Take the phone away and give her one of the MANY chew toys out there FOR KIDS. I can only imagine how things are going to wind up as she gets older if this thread is any indication. :rolleyes:
 
This thread made me think about our 2 year old daughter. She constantly tells both of us "I wanna see your iPhone". Sometimes it amazes me that she is 2 years old and knows what an iPhone and iPod is and calls them by name. That is starting them young. :D

Rule #1: You're on a public forum that promotes communication. You ask a question, you're going to get answers, advice, flaming, and much more.

Rule #2: They gave you good advice. You gotta teach your kid they can't have everything they want.

Rule #3: NO, is best learned at a young age.

Rule #4: Try and do a search before posting ridiculous crap. You could have easily typed in chewable iPhone into google and came up with something.

I'm sure it makes no difference if its an iPhone chewable toy or a normal baby chewable toy.

She's six months. She doesn't know the difference.

Actually it does. More so for the parents than for her sadly enough. She's learning (and subsequently teaching) that whatever she wants, she gets. I hope mommy and daddy either makes lots of money or have two jobs each. They're going to need them.

It is a good thing that nobody is asking for your opinions or parenting advice. Perhaps your parents would have been well served to read those books you're referring to.
