Some soft drink got spilt on my trackpad, and whilst it's fine, the button gets stuck occasionally, but it is also just generally very hard to push down. What should I do? I have applecare if that's relevant. Cheers

I would get it replaced. If they want to charge you then take it home and try some rubbing alcohol on a q-tip. I would first see what the charge is going to be and if they had any suggestions.

Take it to Apple dont mention the accident though.
Its definately worth a try.

Cheers for your help guys. It is definitely in need of repair.. i hoped that if i just pushed it for a while it would sort itself out but nothing is changing.. damn shame

i spilt soft drink all over my trackpad too and i was really unhappy. it was always sticking when i used it on the go (use a mouse for normal use). anyways its seemed to itself!! its fine now!!. but my lid button is still sticky (one with the sleep light on it) as i dont use it much but its getting better. also if you press the sides of the latop you can still hear the sugary sticky crap in the case. thank god i had the laptop on a few cd cases at a slope otherwise it would of gone straight through the keybard

Ok i'll give it a week. Did you guys do any other than just use it? I cant get into the case, nor would i attempt to, but there must be a way to get rid of this sugar

nup i the only thing i did was leave it upside down when it happend so all the drink could drip out. havent done anything to it. trackpad button is fine now and the lid button is getting better.

Yeah, I wish I had done something like that. It's probably dried forever now though.
