Hey!
I have had quite a few problems with the M1 Pro line. I bought one in June and after some weeks noticed a slight blue-ish tint along the screen edge, especially the right one. This was only really annoying with a white background and True Tone on, but still for a 2000€ machine I didn't want to accept it. Unfortunately, Amazon's 30-day return window was already over, so I sent it in for repairs and bought a new one for the time in between (as instructed by Amazon lol).
When first opening that first M1 Pro I immediately noticed that the click on the trackpads feels a bit more clicky or tinny and with a brighter sound than the M1 Air I was using previously, but I just thought that for the Pros maybe they changed the trackpad a bit.
Then came the second Pro from Amazon, of which the trackpad click felt much more like the M1 Air I had. The click felt more clunky and with more force, and I think this is the way it is supposed to feel. Unfortunately, because the chassis of this second MacBook was making creaking noises while using it on my lap, I also couldn't keep this one. It also has the exact same blue-ish tint at the screen edge that the first one had, and I also saw it on a bunch of my peers machines.
So now I am back to the first MacBook with the too bright and clicky trackpad, which just doesn't feel very satisfying as it just gives me a lot less feedback on when I clicked. The thing is, when I do a Force Click, it feels sort of like the regular click on the other machines I have used. So it isn't really a hardware issue I guess. Unfortunately, the system settings only has three settings for the click force, and it is already on the highest one.
Is there ANY way to set the click force even higher than the highest setting in the settings app?
