Trackpad Gestures suddenly appeared in my system prefs!

So, what gives? I just installed my MightyMouse software, and now I have the trackpad gestures in my system prefs, AND it works!

My powerbook is one of the older 1GHz 12" jobbies, manufactured long before trackpad scrolling was added to the new PB's.

Anybody else gained this functionality?

Very interesting! Is it only while the mouse is plugged in or does it continue working? Just goes to show that it was inhibited by the system and not by the trackpad - I'm guessing that you've never installed iScroll?

Nope - still there once the mouse is removed.

And yes, I had install iScroll but removed it as it was too temperamental with non cocoa apps. Very, very odd....

Awesome. I wonder if it works with iBooks. Is there anywhere we can get this software?

My guess is it was a firmware thing - my the might mouse install did 'force' a restart afterwards...

So it sounds like it would be a good idea for everyone with an older iBook/PowerBook to download and install the Mighty Mouse drivers.

Let's just hope that it was Apple's intention and they don't remove the feature later.

That is flat awesome. Very nice side effect for those buying the mighty mouse for their laptops...
