Trackpad has become really skittish since upgrading to High Sierra

Anyone else noticed this?
It used to be that the cursor on screen would track perfectly with movements on the trackpad.
Now there's a lot of skittishness; the cursor pausing when my finder is still moving, the cursor jumping around, etc

It's a bit of a nightmare...
