I don't mean I prefer any pads; small, sticky, unresponsive ones suck. But the Air (and new MacBook)'s touchpads I find genuinely superb. I actually prefer using Apple's touchpad to a traditional mouse; its size, feel, and above all, multitouch.

But it's also the firm-/soft-ware. When I'm on Windows, the trackpad sucks.
Please can anybody release some decent MacBook trackpad drivers!!

^^

+1 ^^^ I agree the Air has a pretty decent touchpad. I've set mine to a double-tap v. depressing the button just below the touchpad which seems a bit redundant for my needs (sorry but I'm not using Windows)...

The new larger trackpads are definitely nice, i hated trackpads before but now enjoy using it on my unibody. but that being said i still prefer a mouse whenever i can use one and with my iMac.
