In the last week, I've noticed that my M1 MBA has lost the ability to "silent click". Whether I turn on the setting in Preferences or not, it makes no difference. The function of the trackpad is totally fine, but the clicks are back to what they would be if you have silent clicking turned off. Anyone else notice this?

Trackpad silent click not working

I'm not fully sure if the OP is trying to have the click noise on or off, but I'm kind of in the same spot. My MacBook Air M1 running 11.2.2 also does not make any clicking noise regardless of the setting.
I did a clean install of 11.2.2 last weekend and I had the click noise until I turned it off, which is how I normally use the trackpad.
