Trade 16gb iPod Touch for 8gb Refurbished iPhone??

Would I be able to trade in my 16gb iPod Touch for a refurbished 8gb iPhone at the apple store?
 
If you purchased the iPod within 14 days, and it is open, you could always exchange it and take a hit on the 10% restocking fee
 
not much you can do at the store then-- they don't do trade ins at apple-- you could always ebay it- sorry
 
it may sell for a little less, but whoever buys i can always put a case on it to cover it up! and like nursechris said, "what name?"-- if it is common, it could work out good for someone!

Just as a rule, this is why I NEVER go for engraving option. Got my 80gb black Ipod in a Clear Black Acrylic Belkin case, its not got a mark on it, perfect for resale :)
