ThanksThe big advantage of trading in at the Apple Store (vs. any method that requires sending the phone somewhere) is that you get a firm price for the phone and you can use the credit on the spot. There are posts here about mail-in trade-ins where the expected price was not received because whoever received it felt it wasn't in the condition that the owner believed (and that includes Apple mail-in trade-ins).
Thanks
thanksThere’s always a risk you are taking when you mail in your phone. Use places that you know are credible. Had a good experience with Macmeanoffer when I traded in my MBP.
How does it work if you order it online for in-store pickup with the trade in? When I go through the checkout, it still mentions them mailing me a box for the trade in. I am interested in downsizing from the XS Max to an 11 Pro, but I do not want to have to deal with the hassle/uncertainty of mailing in a device. The big advantage of trading in at the Apple Store (vs. any method that requires sending the phone somewhere) is that you get a firm price for the phone and you can use the credit on the spot.
