Other Trade in deadline for Xmas gift

I want to buy a iPhone 11 for my wife and Apple will give me $100 for her 7. To get that credit I have to return the old phone within 15 days (14?) which is obviously a problem with a Christmas gift. Does Apple extend the deadline for this situation?

Have you contacted Apple? I’m sure they would be able to advise you, and they may make an exception if necessary if you explain to them that you want it to be a Christmas gift. Worth a try imo.
