I purchased the late 2016 MacBookPro touchbar 15” last November. Does any one know if there is an upgrade/trade in option to get the latest ? I guess this is an age old question of wanting a new one after making my purchase.

Apple allows returns within 14 days of purchase. After that you'd need to sell it on a third party site and apply the funds to the new purchase.

CWallace,
Thanks, I was hoping for some special trade in program but I guess it does not exist.

Unless your MacBook is faulty, and have looooong Apple care repair history. Apple usually won't offer trade in programme to you.

If by any chance Apple care fail to repair your machine (and no replacement available, or replacement also can't fix it), the next step can be allow you to trade in and buy something newer / better. However, I doubt if it will happen on a 2016 late MacBook.
