Hello - I have an iPad 10.5 pro which has been plagued with the bright spot issue which a lot of users have faced.
I’m getting a new iPad and am going to trade it in to Apple - was wondering if anyone has traded in their iPads with bright spots with any issues? It doesn’t seem to classify as an issue when I look at the requirements.

has anyone done this?

thanks!

I traded in an Air 2 with two bright spots last month and received my fully quoted value in return ($105 CAD). Either they didn’t notice them or let them slide when they inspected it. Though I’ve seen reports from other people here that their trade-in value drop down to 0 so YMMV.

Good luck!

You have a 50/50 shot of getting the full value out of the iPad or not getting the full value out of the iPad.

Good to know! it does seem a little unfair. I'm not someone who generally berates Apple, I find their customer service is very good. and I understand the iPad is out of warranty. But on one hand you have a product where this develops. It's clearly a known issue, and they say "there is no problem." but then if you trade it in they'll say "except now it's a problem."

we'll have to see what happens!

Apple's support, screen quality, touch screen quality - everything is a lottery nowadays. Good luck!

What ended up happening OP? I send mine in with this issue too and hoping I get it accepted.
That's rather weird that the OP never bother to report back... I would assume he would say it was a success or it was a failure. Maybe it was a success and he's too busy playing with his new ipad? You can also try contacting him and asking.

Sorry for not responding - OP has a broken boiler...she’s too busy with that and sadly not too busy with a new ipad. Actually I have nothing to report as I didn’t end up going the whole trading in route. Sorry i can’t be of much help!
