I plan on trading in my 10.5 Pro. I’m getting zero response from selling it and ridiculous offers. Apple will offer $375. I’ve never done this before. Do I bring it in with me and I get the discount on the spot?

Don't trade it into apple, just keep trying with craigslist, even if you have to haggle on price a little bit..Apple offers ridiculous trade in prices, they are screwing you, whenever I sold an ipad on craigslist sometimes I just had to wait it out, a week or two, maybe more, but eventually sold it for a good deal

Depends on the GB it has but Im seeing average ranges between 150-300 dollars on craigslist
Thanks.

It's 64GB & wifi only btw.

Never sold Apple devices before so unsure. I'll probably end up keeping it...not a bad backup tablet to have! Just curious as to what it may be worth on the market. :D

Yeah Im seeing on craigslist maybe 150-200 bucks for that..but you know how it is, you put a set price and people start emailing you asking for a lower price so maybe at the end its not worth the hassle of selling it, up to you

I got $250 from Apple last month for my 2 year old 9.7" Pro 32GB which was more than fair.

Being that I’m asking $475, $375 isn’t a huge deal. I’d rather sell it to Apple so I don’t have to deal with the people on Craigslist. Can anyone answer my original question? Do I get some sort of refund or is the discount reflected at the time of the sale?

I believe you get a gift card, but selling it to apple I believe that you have to send it in they don't do it in store, that was the main reason why I didn't want to trade it into apple directly, because once they receive it, they might say "Oh well you get a lower price because its not exactly like you stated"

Guess I should've traded a month ago. My 9.7" iPad Pro 128gb with LTE is $175 trade-in quote from Apple and it's in excellent condition, not a scratch on it. Going to take good pics of it tonight and maybe try to sell it on Marketplace here.

With the Watch they did in store. I actually ordered the watch online. The stopped at a store once I received it and they credited the credit card used to pay for the new watch. All they wanted was the watch - I kept the charging cable and bracelet

Has Apple changed their policy on that? The last time I traded in my older iPad for a new Pro model I did it right in the store. The sales person examined it for damage and then said it was acceptable and deducted the trade in price from the new Pro that I purchased at the same time.

I think it depends on the store, call your local store to be sure

They'll do it in store. Best do it quick though because the value tends to drop if they get a bunch of trades.

Bestbuy is offering me $200 for a first gen IPad Pro 12.9, Apples offer is $250 but I’m going with BB as it’s a walk-in walk out deal. I could maybe get more on CL but I’m not dealing with the hassle it’s become with the scammers and lowballers. The last $25 item I listed I had people asking me to drive 2 hrs each way to deliver it to them. They are nuts!

That's exactly how the procedure went for me as well just a few months ago.

I sold my 256GB iPad Pro 10.5 for $600. It came with the Pencil and a leather Smart Cover...a couple glass screen protectors and AppleCare+.

Not sure if you have tried swappa but it normally sells good i have has good luck with them overall

I was thinking of taking this approach too when I go to the store tomorrow. Do they not want power cables, adapters and usb cables with the products? How about the watch charger? So all we do is back up, clean the device and sign out of your ID and that's it? Would be nice not having to carry all this extra stuff to the store.
