Trade iPhones

Hi! Me and my mother desire to trade iPhones. She has an iPhone 6, and I have an 6+. She has never connected her phone to an computer/mac, and I am wondering if it´s possible to have two iPhones connected to one Mac. My plan was to log in to her iCloud to back up her phone, reset the phone to factory setting, do the same thing to my phone, and then restore both phones to the back up. Is this possible? Does anyone have an easier/better way to do this?
