Trading Plan's to iPhone 3G

Hello Eveyone,
I am Wondering if I unlock my iPhone 3G and put my SIM card from my other phone into the iPhone. If my Plan will just carried over to my iPhone.

Who is your carrier? TmobileUS will work fine but you will lack 3g access.

Im in Canada. I dont Need 3G Acess. But Im Using Fido.
