I used to wear a mechanical and a Pebble together on a Nato strap. This is a neat concept but don't care for the wood look

I'd love to see strap options that allowed this. I could easily fit the thin Apple watch on the underside of my wrist.

I'd love to hide my ugly  Watch under my wrist and put a real watch back on top.the  watch is a utilitarian tool, not jewelry

That is subjective. I find most mechanical watches to be gaudy. At least the Apple Watch is simple.

I know it's subjective. So what?

I like my  watch for its function but honesty hate wearing it because of the way it looks! The cold weather has been kinda nice so that I can hide the  watch under a sleeve.

Every time when someone ask why I bought AW instead of regular watch, I told them regular watch does one or couple things, AW does hundred if not thousand things, and more and more new everyday.

I have a Rolex GMTII which for sentimental reasons I do not want to give up. I believe it would be nice to keep my traditional watch and get the benefits of a digital 'companion'. As far as I can see from MacRumor posts, Apple has decided not to go down the path. The only option which looks like somebody has actually put some thought into this niche seems to be the Montblanc e-strap. Anybody know of any other alternatives?
