Hello there,

In my line of work, I get assigned tickets or work orders to do. In the ticketing system we use, if I get scheduled to work on a ticket on a certain day/time, it will also add the event to my Exchange calendar so I can make sure I have my days planned out. Basically the ticketing system syncs with Exchange.

With each one of those tickets, there's an address for the customer. Whether I actually need to go to the customer's location or not, it gets put there.

With that being said, is Siri Proactive going to find traffic for me for every little ticket/event I have on my calendar? Because I get assigned 20-30 tickets per day.

I really love this feature..a lot..but I have a feeling it's going to suck down my battery life simply because the ticketing system we have automatically puts the address in the event that's created on the calendar. And the phone will constantly be using GPS to get traffic.

Let me know what you think. Let me know if I need to clarify.

I'm curious how this works.

I'm probably not the best person to be answering this question, but since no one else bothered answering it I'll give it a shot.

If your exchange calendar is linked to the built in calendar app, then yes it probably will find traffic for every ticket/event you have on your calendar. But one thing you could do is turn off location services for the Calendar app, and with that solution you won't have to turn off Proactive altogether.

Proactive suggestion is based on learning your life pattern. If you tend to let proactive suggestion to understand your ticket travel plan, this is much harder.

If you ask Siri for a specific traffic condition it is simple. If you try to add all traffic condition on each ticket, I think this is not possible in iOS 9.
