I use a Blackberry at work with unlimited data plan with att + 200 free txt msg. Wonder if I can get an unlocked iPhone 3Gs, plug the sim card in and get the work emails. Specific questions:

1. Can I just plug my sim card in and use it? Are there extra steps that involve my corporate IT support? (iPhone is not an approved device and they are extremely tight on security, access, etc.)
2. Will att charge me a different rate because I am using a BB sim card on an iPhone?
3. Is the speed still 3Gs?

Thanks.

1) yes, you can just plug the sim in to use it if it's a factory unlock iphone. Dont know how would your corp. IT people would know if you are using iphone or Blackberry. Maybe they can see the payment bill?

2) I dont believe att would charge you differently because of different phone. You bought your factory unlock iphone from Apple and att charging you for iphone data plan (which cost a lot more than normal data plan).

3) Dont know what you mean. Your iphone 3GS is using 3G to go online, which is same as iphone 3G. The 'S' is 3GS stands for speed of your phone, not the online speed.
