The town without George Bailey
I’ll be traveling from Japan to New York when the iPhone 15 is released, and I’d like to buy it. I realize it won’t have a SIM card tray if sold in the US.

Could I transfer my Docomo eSIM to the new iPhone 15 while roaming? Or should I wait until I get back to Japan? I don’t want to suddenly end up with no service during my trip.

Safest option is transferring it when you are back to japan Imo. Me never tried to transfer eSIM while roaming,

Never tried that before but it would be good to know. My home SIM card is an eSIM. What happens if I am abroad and the phone has a problem to the extent that I need to rescue the eSIM to another iPhone while being in roaming.
