Transfer Files from Mac to PC

How can I do this using my USB ports? I tried just connecting them so what else do i have to do? set-up a drop box? network?

i used handbrake to make some movies for my ipod and want to transfer them to my PC b/c that's what my ipod is hooked up to.

EDIT: from my Mac I went to 'Network' and could get into a folder on my PC and can take files from my PC. How do I do the vice-versa?

try setting up a network. thats how i did it. you dont even need to connect them using USB cables.

just follow the guide to setting up a netowrk, and you will be able to access files going both ways.

main thing to remember... make sure both computers are in the same workgroup (MSHOME is the default i think for PC)

i had trouble with this, and then figured it out. so it does work, just be patient and follow the guide step by step

like dwade said... Or you could just plug your iPod into your mac. It will read the Fat32 drive just fine and it won't destroy it. Just don't let iTunes sync with it.

that's what i thought about but why go through a middle man when you can go straight to the source?
