I just got the new i7 and wanted to use it as my main computer for my Iphone and a few other files. I orginally used a MacBook for backing up and syncing my iphone. Is there an easy way to to transfer all my files from the MacBook to the i7? I assume they both have bluetooth. Is that something that could work?

Target Disk Mode might be the most helpful, if you are only considering some individual files and folders.

Btw, Bluetooth has abysmal speeds, it would be faster to use a wireless network between them.

Connect them with normal Ethernet cable and simply open Migration Assistant in the iMac. It will transfer all files and user and even settings. You can select what to transfer. It's very simple
