Intro:
Large video files, now that we have Apple LOG, saved directly in Files instead of Photos. The reason for this, is that these files are massive and when iCloud kicks in it literally breaks everything for hours. I also noticed that iCloud syncs recently deleted files too.
Blackmagic camera saves anywhere, including a folder in Files. Not planning to use an external SSD because I need to find a very flexible C to C 10Gbps.

Anyway, so saving these massive videos to Files directly, then exporting them to PC.

Problem? Copying them to PC (haven't tried on mac) so far is 🤮 I can't use iTunes on PC cos I have apple music and they don't work together lol. And iTunes is copying an entire folder, not specific files.

Any better solution? I don't want it wirelessly, want it fast, USB and as direct as possible...

There is a bunch of other options. From the top of my head:
  • get an T5/7 SSD (if possible formatted using APFS; if transfers between different OS is really needed, ExFAT), connect to the iPhone, transfer.
  • Or create a smb-shared folder on Windows. Then use „connect to folder…“ in Apple Files to transfer the files.
  • Or use Send Anywhere - app on i-device, in webbrowser on e.g. Windows; Snapdrop, etc..
  • Or get e.g. Filebrowser (Professional) on the iDevice and start a webDAVserver there, or use it to connect and transfer to a NAS, etc..
