I’d like to get my photos onto my iPad Pro from my iPhone. I think they are called camera roll or recents - the ones taken with the iPhone.

When I set up my iPhone originally I used iTunes to copy my photo folders to my iPhone from my windows pc. I can use the same method ( iTunes ) with my new iPad but I’d like to know how to move all the current photos that I’ve taken with my iPhone camera to my iPad. iCloud photos is off, if I attempt to turn it on it’ll delete 27k photos that were put on my iPhone via iTunes finder.
Many thanks.

When you plug in or connect your iPhone to iTunes. Now you we use finder. On Mac. It should ask to import your photos. It does on my Mac. It should import your photos into Windows photos. Then you will have it on your PC. You also so have an option to use photo stream Or iCloud photos. Or you can connect your iPad to the windows computer and sync the photos using iTunes.

Thanks. What currently occurs when I plug the iPhone to my windows pc via iTunes is that it syncs the folder labeled “iphone2” which contains all the old photos that had I had put there originally to move to the iPhone. I don’t receive an option to copy photos that were taken by my iPhone to the folder on my windows desktop labeled “iphone2”.
I’ll have to somehow figure out a way to perhaps manually move the 1400 photos taken with the iPhone device to the desktop folder “iphone2”. Im thinking once that is achieved I can then sync that folder to my device the iPad. Then it will contain all my archived photos of the past and the ones taken on my iPhone. ?

You can Air drop the photo or email the photos off your iPhone. There are third party applications that you can install on your windows computer that will access the files on your iPhone also. I use to use an program called iFunbox. You can Also download Google photos app on your iPhone , iPad & windows Device. Then google photos app will save the photos on both devices. While letting you transfer to either photo app. Good luck.

Yes , I already use google photos but I’m also trying to be less reliant on that.
I managed to manually copy my iPhone photos to the iTunes sync folder labeled “iphone2” on my windows Pc. I then synced that folder with my iPad. I think moving forward I’ll have to consider either using iCloud or one of those third party apps you mentioned. I have iMazing and that didn’t seem to help me much for this task.

I plug in my ipad or iphone via USB then use image capture to drag photos to a folder (usually one under photos called import). I couldn't get it to work the first time because you have to be logged into your ipad/phone. Then it should pop up on image capture.

If you have the iPad Pros with USB-C, you could just connect it to your iPhone with a USB-C to Lightning Cable and Transfer the Photos that way through the Photos App. Or, you could use your Computer.
